The Story Prize is a compilation by writer Michael Shenton, of the most worthwhile (and genuine!) Current UK writing competitions Genres include short story, flash fiction, novel, poetry, children’s, etc. Most, but not all, are from the UK. All competitions on his site are carefully vetted.
